Patricia Hurl
Patricia Hurl is an artist whose work spans the disciplines of painting, multi media and collaborative art practice, She was a full member of Temple Bar Bar Gallery and Studios from 1986 – ’09 and has moved to Co. Tipperary to set up a new studio space. She was a lecturer in Fine Art in the DIT where she establishes a number of community – based Arts in Context initiatives. She received a number of seed-funding bursaries for Creative Practice from the Faculty of Applied Arts, DIT and was awarded a one year sabbatical to pursue her studio practice.
She has shown work in Ireland, UK, U.S.A .South Africa and Spain. For the past number of years she has worked in collaboration with the artist Therry Rudin, Recent projects include, The Sheets are Laid in Perfect Order, West Cork Arts Centre (2006) The Laundry Project, St. Finbarrs Hospital as part of the Cultural Capital events(2007) Bawnslieve, which formed part of the Shifting Ground initiative (2007) and Body of Water, Barcelona and West Cork Arts Centre (2008/9) Patricia was a contributer to Vision (f(iccion), ed: Peran, M. & Iiranzo.
