Marie Connole

Marie Connole’s practice comprises painting, drawing, object-making, installation, and collaborative work. She is member/director of Faber Studios, former Chair of Ground Up Artists Collective, and a graduate of NCAD and NUI Galway/Burren College of Art. Recent projects include Aughty Public Art Projects (2010-11); The Midnight Court, a touring participatory event with artist Maeve Collins; and curating the GUAC arts event ‘Rianta’ (2011). Awards include residencies from the Kilkenny Arts Office, SIM (Association of Icelandic Visual Artists) in Reykjavík, and the 2011 Tyrone Guthrie Residency Award from Clare County Arts Office. She currently works as a tutor with Clare Adult Education Service.

‘re-possesion’ is a multi-part project undertaken with artists Caelan Bristow and Aaron Lawless which will feature in eva 2012.
